INSTALLING THE NEXIS CLIENT

DOWNLOADING THE CLIENT SOFTWARE

In the majority of cases, the installer can be downloaded from the management page under System / Installers.

NEXIS client software available via the web interface of NEXIS

The Operating Systems that are supported are written against each AvidNEXISClient installer. The Avid NEXIS VFS Gateway can also be downloaded from here as well as the DataMigration Utility.

NOTE: There is NO support for 32bit operating systems!

NEXIS CLIENT VERSIONS

The Avid NEXIS server can have a newer version than the client to allow deployment of server-only fixes.

Avid recommends upgrading all clients to the same version as soon as possible. New functionality, enhancements, and some fixes require aligned server and client versions.

Avid may also release later versions of the NEXIS Client independently to the NEXIS 'kit' installers. This maybe done to address client Operating System changes or potential bug fixes. Always use the Avid NEXIS documentation page and the appropriate ReadMe guides before updating you client versions.

NOTE: For each instance of any NIC port which will be used for NEXIS connectivity the above will need to be checked .
